  • It’s far too difficult to open a business in Kalispell. Potential business owners face outrageous fees, building and property alterations, and restrictive guidelines when operating within city limits. We need to cut the red tape in order to allow the city to grow sustainably and small businesses to prosper.

PUBLIC SAFETY

  • Kalispell’s police force and firefighters have been drastically underpaid and understaffed for years, posing a serious hazard to public safety. I believe in using our money responsibly to support those who sacrifice every day to protect the citizens of Kalispell. While still maintaining relationships with our volunteer agencies.

BRIDGING COUNCIL-COMMUNITY RELATIONS

  • You deserve to know what’s happening in your city and you should have a voice. But right now, there are members of the Kalispell City Council who don't care what you think. They don't make information easily available and ignore concerned citizens. You deserve a City Councilor who will represent you and listen to you, instead of hiding from you and ignoring you.

KYLE

Hello, Kalispell! Kyle Voigtlander here. I am running for City Council, Ward 3. I've always been interested in politics, but never envisioned myself in this position. From a young age, I had the drive to fight for what I believe in, stand up, and get involved. And I just can't sit back anymore.

I own and operate a small landscaping company here in Kalispell, offering a wide range of services. My goal was just to run a successful business and raise a family here in Kalispell--until last year, I was standing in the City Council chamber with dozens of other Kalispell citizens, being ignored by many of the duly-elected councilors. That's when I knew something had to change.

​

Outside of my business, I have served as a Search & Rescue team member since I was 16 years old, and I have been a volunteer firefighter for 10 years. I know what it's like to work hard, pay your taxes, and feel betrayed by the people you elected. Now I'm asking for your support to serve the community and bridge the gap between citizens and their government.
